LARRY B. COTTEN
My wife (Candice) and I both retired from Seattle Washington. My wife was an R.N. in wound care and I was a Seattle Police Officer for 25 years.
We settled in Santa Clara, Utah in August of 2005 after visits to Tucson, Phoenix, and Sedona, Arizona. We thought this area offered many opportunities for an active lifestyle.
In 2005 I began working part-time for Red Mountain Spa as a guide in hiking, kayaking, and bicycling. My wife now teaches tennis at Entrada.
My wife and I have been married for 32 years and we have two daughters that are both married. One is living in Austin, Texas and the other is still living in Seattle, Washington.
In our leisure time we hike, bike, and play tennis. My one hobby is cowboy action shooting. I belong to the Dixie Desperados and we have a range at the shooting park in Purgatory.
I feel my wife and I have made a very wise choice in picking the St. George area to retire. I love the Pioneer Spirit here and we enjoy taking part in all the community festivals and activities.
