Midieval Faire Comes to Washington County

As the brilliant warm days of summer began to settle in St. George, thousands of onlookers wandered back to a time of merriment, feasting and entertainment as they rubed shoulders with King Arthur, Merlin, and the great Knights of the Roundtable. Were you a part of their celebrations?

As we wandered around we were entertained from the moment we stepped through the gates and back in time. Performing groups shared their talents on several stages. Delight in the Maypole Dancing, Live Chess Games, Strolling Minstrels, Jugglers, Magicians and Chamber music. And don't forget "THE ROYAL FEAST"-an authentic 7-course meal with the most delightful entertainment.

We wandered through the streets and visited these Faire Folk and experienced another time:

King Arthur and Queen Guinevere, Sir Lancelot and the Great Knights of the Roundtable, Merlin the Magician, Queen Morgan le Fay, The Giant Green Knight, Lady Elaine and lusty women, brave Scots, wenches, dancers, pages, squires, mimes, magicians, merry musicians, and all the Lords and Ladies of the Court.

There were Parades & Processions and even demonstrations in falconry, fencing, weaponry, juggling and much more. Continuous entertainment from local and statewide performing groups were also seen throughout the day on various stages.
